Welcome to Epic Life!
The story of God's love for us, as told in the Bible, is truly epic. He laid down his life for us while we were still strangers or enemies of God. He came to breathe life into death, brought health to the diseased and broken, and wonderful light invaded choking darkness. He lived the epic story and came to give us life in this same fashion. Now, we have the privilege of being called by Him to work alongside God and live the hero kind of life - to really live life abundantly!
Epic Life Church is an inter-denominational, Bible-believing church. We believe God wants to do something special here in Oakland County, in Highland, and in the Lakes Area of Michigan, and we are thankful to be a part of it!
We welcome you to explore this site, and then come and see for yourself!

David and Jill Dreyer are the Lead Pastors of Epic Life Church, and have been pastors in Michigan for over 16 years. Both graduated from Elim Bible Institute where they majored in Biblical studies and minored in pastoral ministry. David then went on to receive his masters degree in business from Regent University. As pastors their oversight has included ministry to people of all ages including children, youth, and college-aged students. Ministry to youth and children is a big part of their vision and the vision of this church. David and Jill are both passionate about reaching people with the GOOD news of who God really is, bringing people into a living relationship with Jesus, and equipping people to fulfill all of their God-given potential. They believe in having a good time and are excited about all that God is going to do in White Lake, the Lakes Area, Oakland County and beyond!
Who We Are
Though we have a great time together throughout the week at Epic Life, our Sunday gatherings are our big celebrations. They are more like a family reunion than a traditional church service. We worship God and study the Bible in a lively but relaxed atmosphere. We catch up with each other and talk and laugh. We take care of one another. We give life to one another, and we learn what it really means to be a church.
Interdenominational
Our church is an independent, full-gospel church! That means we are not affiliated with any one denomination. The fact is, our church has people who were raised in any number of denominations: Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Christian Reformed, Nazarene, Reformed, Wesleyan, Church of God, Episcopal or numerous others. The thing we all have in common is that we exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and we believe the Bible is the Word of God!
We Are a Family Church.
We are committed to the spiritual development of your entire family kids, teens and adults! Whether youre investigating the claims of Christ, a new or young Christian, or a mature well-seasoned believer, there is always room for spiritual growth and we offer a variety of classes and programs that will assist you.
Accountability
Though we are not affiliated with any one denomination, we have very definite accountability structures. The church itself and the pastors are accountable to an outside Board of Directors. Financially there is also great accountability through the Board of Trustees who oversee the finances and all business dealings of the church.
People usually want to know
What do you believe and what style of worship do you have? We are a Bible-based church with a contemporary, charismatic style of worship. Our dress is culturally casual. We teach the Bible in an innovative and compelling way so people can experience the reality of being born-again and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to raise up passionate people who love Jesus and share the good news of what Jesus has done in their sphere of influence!
Our Purpose
Our purpose at Epic Life is to know, worship and obey God according to the Scriptures, and to passionately live for God in such a way that everyone around us is drawn to Jesus. We are passionate about Knowing Our God, Living Our Potential, and Changing Our World. Our message has stayed consistent and can be summarized as one of abundant life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and through faith in God's Word!
Mission
Our mission is to bring people into a passionate life-giving relationship with Jesus and to build and equip them to powerfully impact their world for the glory of God.
Sound Doctrine
We are a Bible-believing church. We believe God has revealed Himself through the Scriptures, and the Scriptures are to be taught using sound doctrine. We emphasize every portion of Scripture, including God's work through the people of Israel, the birth, life, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the mission of the body of believers, and the ministering work of the Holy Spirit in the world today.
A Life-Giving Local Church
We believe that God has chosen the local church to represent His life and His love to the community. Through strong, growing, healthy local churches, people should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel, come to know Jesus Christ, become a part of the body of believers, and be discipled. At Life Christian Church, our first priority is to be a thriving local church for the people of the Lakes Area.
Engaging Praise and Worship and Prayer
Church services at Life Christian Church are truly worship services. As a body of believers, we love to praise and worship God in freedom, power, and humility. Praise and worship services here are lively but reverent, exciting but holy. We believe that when we worship God, we are connecting with the Lord of all creation, so it is worth it to give every part of ourselves to Him, holding nothing back.
Holy Bible: The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, the Bible is inspired, infallible and inerrant. (Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25,26; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21)
Trinity: There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit. These three separate and distinct personalities are co-equal and co-eternal. (Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 3:16,17; 28:19; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 3:7-11; I John 5:7)
Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100 percent God and 100 percent man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for humankind and, thus, paid for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory. (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14; 20:28; Philippians 2:5,6; I Timothy 2:5; 3:16)
Redemption: Humanity was created good and upright, but by choosing to sin, it fell. Humanity's only hope for redemption is through Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice, who paid with His life for our sins. (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)
Salvation: We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human effort; however our works will determine the rewards in eternity
(see Romans 10:9,10; Acts 16:31; Galatians 2:16; 3:8; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:22). The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation, is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit . The outward evidence to everyone is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
Repentance: Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be made new by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ. Thus, through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins and, by faith in Jesus Christ, we receive salvation. (Acts 2:21; 3:19; I John 1:9)
Sanctification: Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:29; 12:1,2; II Corinthians 3:18; 6:14-18; I Thessalonians 4:3; 5:23; II Thessalonians 2:1-3; Hebrews 2:11).
Jesus' Blood: The blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross of Calvary was sinless and is 100 percent sufficient to cleanse humankind from all sin. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for both our sinfulness and our sins, enabling all those who believe to be free from the penalty of sin, which is death. (John 1:29; Romans 3:10-12,23; 5:9; Colossians 1:20; I John 1:7; Revelation 1:5; 5:9)
Jesus Christ Lives In All Believers: Christians are people who have invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come and live inside them by His Holy Spirit. They relinquish the authority of their lives over to Him, thus making Jesus the Lord of their lives as well as Savior. They put their trust in what Jesus accomplished for them when He died, was buried and rose again from the dead. (John 1:12; 14:17,23; 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit: The baptism in the Holy Spirit, is the promise of the Father. The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus after His ascension to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth (see Joel 2:28,29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4,17,38,39; 8:14-17; 10:38,44-47; 11:15-17; 19:1-6). All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early church. With it comes the endowment of
power for life and service, and the ability to pray in other tongues, which is the initial physical evidence of having been baptized in the Spirit. This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Luke 24: 49; Acts 1: 4-8; 2: 38; 10: 44-46; 11: 14-16; 19: 1-6)
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is seen through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and strengthen the Church, demonstrate the truth of the resurrection and confirm the power of the gospel. The lists of these gifts in the Bible are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives.
These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters. (Romans 1:11; 12:4-8; I Corinthians 12:1-31; 14:1-40; Ephesians 4:16; I Timothy 4:14; II Timothy 1:5-16; Hebrews 2:4; I Peter 4:10)
The Church: The Church is not a building. Every person who has given their lives to Jesus as the boss of their lives is an integral part of the Church as a member of the Body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 17:11,20-23; Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23)
Water Baptism: Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new believer is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)
Communion: We take the elements of bread and grape juice (symbolic of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12,36-38; 10:47,48; I Corinthians 10:16; 11:23-26)
Healing of the Sick: Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign that is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus' work on the cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit. (Psalms 103:2,3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16,17; Mark 16:17,18; Acts 8:6,7; Romans 11:29; I Corinthians 12:9,28; James 5:14-16)
God's Will for Provision: It is God's will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God's will while on earth. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ's provision in order to serve others.
a. Spiritual (see John 3:3-11; Romans 10:9,10; II Corinthians 5:17-21)
b. Mental and emotional (see Isaiah 26:3; Romans 12:2; Philippians 4:7,8; II Timothy 1:7; 2:11)
c. Physical (see Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24).
d. Financial (see Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Joshua 1:8; Psalms 34:10; 84:11; Malachi 3:10,11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-10)
Resurrection: Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. As a result, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected. They that are saved to the resurrection of life, and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal separation from God. (Luke 24:16,36,39; John 2:19-21; 20:26-28;
21:4; Acts 24:15; I Corinthians 15:42,44; Philippians 1:21-23; 3:21)
Heaven: Heaven is the place reserved for all believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 5:3,12,20; 6:20; 19:21; 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4)
Hell: After living one life on earth, the unbelievers, those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, will suffer eternal separation from God in hell. This is the second death. (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11; 20:12-15; 21:8)
Second Coming: Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures. (Matthew 24:30; 26:63,64; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7,8; Revelation 1:7)
Sexual Purity: We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all of God's children, and requires abstinence from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, and other sexual relationships or practices forbidden by Scripture. (Hebrews. 13:4; I Corinthians 6:18; Leviticus 18:1-30; Galatians 5:19)
Marriage: We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime, and a sacred institution established by God. (Matthew 19:4-6)
Human Worth: We believe that since mankind is created in God's image, human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all its dimensions, from conception to the grave. (Genesis 1:27; Psalms 139:13,14)
The Local Church: We believe it is the duty and privilege of every believer to, within their ability, support the local church with their regular presence, giving and service. (Hebrews 10:25; II Corinthians 8,9; I Peter 4:10)
Tithes and Offerings: We believe that tithing and giving offerings is God's ordained method to finance the spreading of the Gospel and the needs of the local church. (Malachi 3:8-12; II Corinthians 8,9)

For nearly 15 years SAT-7 has been working to illuminate countries in the Middle East and North Africa with Gods love. The ministry currently has four channels (SAT-7 ARABIC, SAT-7 PARS, SAT-7 KIDS, and SAT-7 TÜRK), each showing viewers Gods love, giving local churches in the region a satellite TV platform to educate and encourage their communities, combating misconceptions about the Christian Faith in the region, working inter-denominationally, and fostering bridges of understanding with the much larger non-Christian majority without compromising the truth of Gods Word.
Our vision is to see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.

Our goal is to reach the whole world. The strategy is simple...it's literal evangelism. We think and work continent by continent, nation by nation, province by province, city by city, village by village, home by home, and person by person, giving everyone the opportunity to encounter the truth of Christs love. This is the pattern of Every Home for Christ. We train indigenous workers to share the Gospel. Nationals do this ministry day in and day out in their own countries. We systematically send them to share the Gospel through printed messages home by home. We follow up every response with a four-part Bible correspondence course. We are dedicated to working with the local church and, where none exists, to the formation of Christ Groups - more than 142,000 since we began. See more at our website www.ehc.org.
